• Short literary analysis: 15%
  
• Oral report on topic for long essay: 10%
  
• 2000-word essay: 25%
  
• Final examination: 30%
  
• Course participation: 10%

  N.B.: Participation involves more than responding in class. I will take into account all of the ways you participate in this course: reading thoughtfully, coming to class (on time), being prepared, showing up for appointments, and so forth.

  When we are reading plays, think about them as drama, visualize them, and be prepared to play them when you get to class.
