1. This Professor impressed me with her extensive knowledge on the subject at hand, and the background materials she presented aided the learning process a great deal.
2. Initially, I signed up for this course because I knew (as an
English major) I should acquire a working knowledge of Chaucer. I leave
this course loving the works of Chaucer. I also leave with an
ability to read & enjoy Middle English Texts. The only problem I
had is that it ended too soon. I wish we could pick up where we left off
next semester.
P.S. Single author courses allow a depth of study & insight unavailable in
survey courses. [This in response to the Dean's objection to single-author
courses--MA]
3.
4. I had a great time in this class. I have acquired quite an appreciation of Chaucer as a result. I also loved the extracurricular activities, and wish some of my other classes had been a little bit more active outside of class.
5. This course, without a doubt, has been one of the best courses I've taken at Bloomsburg. Dr. Arn eased the class, me, into Chaucer but in no way held us not accountable for our own opinions, etc. All in all, A VERY REWARDING EXPERIENCE!!
6. Dr. Arn has been extremely informative and enthusiastic.
7. The use of the newsgroup was "interesting" at times, but I am really
glad that it was included because valuable computer knowledge was gained!
The medieval meal was also irreplaceable. The atmosphere, facts, and
food was helpful to slipping into the Chaucerian state of
mind.
This was a very enjoyable course.
